Bob Hope Classic Announces Rotation
Purse Increased to $5 Million
LA QUINTA, Calif. - The Classic Club will host the 47th Bob Hope Classic in January 2006. The rotation will be La Quinta Country Club, Bermuda Dunes Country, Arnold Palmer Private Course at PGA WEST and Classic Club.
"We are very excited about the Classic Club joining the rotation and anxious to showcase this truly spectacular course to the golfing world," said Steve Morton, President and Tournament Chairman. The Classic Club will be a public access golf course, opening as scheduled in mid-November.
Defending champion Justin Leonard and his fellow PGA TOUR professionals will be playing for a tournament-record purse of $5 million.
